How It Works

  • Minimum Requirements
    • Telephone and Mailing Address.
    • If you do not have a smart phone or are not comfortable enough with its use a simple telephone will suffice.
    • If we are unable to address your needs over the phone and you are within our service area we will make every effort to schedule an in-home visit to serve your needs.*
  • General Requirements
    • Smart Phone – iPhone and Android devices are preferred at this time.
    • Computer Access – Some functionality and features are better utilized with a desktop computer. Windows and Apple equipment are equally supported.
    • Internet Access or Good Cellular Connection – Able to stream high quality audio and or video.
    • Accounts with Elation Health for electronic record keeping and care coordination and Spruce Health for secure video, text and uploaded electronic communications.
  • Optional Elements
    • We are capable of integrating additional equipment to provide advanced physical exam and patient monitoring in to our care.
    • Equipment for ear, nose and throat exams, stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, close-up skin cameras, smart-scales, heart rate and blood oxygen and blood sugar monitors can be integrated in to your care.
    • We can also provide a “kit” of devices that will allow us to monitor, keep track and respond to changes in your underliying health measurements. We will be notified of changes and can reach-out to make changes to your care plan before they become more significant.

Conditions We Treat

Have you tried telemedicine? Felt like it didn’t work for you, liked the idea but left wanting more?

Unlike many of the large-system telemedicine services we are not limited to a short list of preferred conditions. We can evaluate and treat almost any condition you would seek care though an outpatient clinic or even urgent-care. In many instances saving extended visits to urgent-care, emergency departments or hospitalizations.

Services not traditionally available though national telemedicine or larger health systems:

  • X-Ray – Can be completed at a local facility or in-home.
  • Lab – Blood draw or sample collection can be coordinated at a local faciliy or in-home. (based on availability)
  • In-Home Visits – If we cannot address your concern remotely and you are within our service area will can usually provide an in-home visit to complete your care.
    • You will get the same provider and the same familiar high-quality level of care regardless of the method needed.
    • We will maintain the most stringent no-contact requests for visits. We have met customers in driveways, garages, car-ports, guest houses etc. We will consider any reasonable location you are comfortable receiving care.
  • Same-Day Visits and Scheduled Follow-up – You know exactly who will be providing your care and on what schedule. No need to repeat your history or exaplin your symptoms to yet another long-list of coordinators or support staff.
  • Minor Procedures – because we can provide consistent service continuity and in-home care we can provide many minor procedures and necessary follow-up care.

Service Improvements Compared to national telemedicine or large health systems:

  • Continuity – You pick your provider, you pick the way you want to complete your care. You always get the same consistent and high-quality care.
  • Spruce Visits – Get a head start on your evaluation and diagnosis. Spruce visits save time and replace the need to explain your symptoms to several triage personel. You fill out a validated and adaptive questionnaire prior to your visit and your provider will already have much of the necessary information needed to safely evaluate and treat your condition. No repeating, no phone transfers, no long-holds waiting for a representative.
  • Simple Scheduling – After you are registered and have completed your first visit you can return and choose an available visit in as few as 3 clicks of the mouse or a brief phone call.

Eligibility

In order to provide a more consistent and predictable care model and care options we currently operate on a fee-for-service model. Please see our Price Transparency list for details. To see how this may impact you please see the list below for details.

  • Private Insurance
    • We are out of network for local private networks.
    • All of our services are still available without limitation.
    • Due to significant variability of services covered and reimbursement schedules we will collect payment at the time of service.
    • We will provide a superbill that you can submit yo your plan for potential reimbursement.
  • Medicare
    • We are in the process of credentialing with medicare, once the application is accepted we will be able to bill retroactively for services covered by medicare.
    • Non-covered services will be billed as outlined in the Price Transparency section unless otherwise specified.
  • Uninsured
    • One significant advantage to our financial model is in regards to those with high deductible plans or no insurance.
    • Costs remain more predictable and consistent regardless of the coverage present.
    • As a result your HSA funds may last significantly longer, your out of pocket costs are more predicatble and may result in signifant reductions in you health care expenditures.
